The red wine Barolo DOCG del Comune di Monforte d'Alba Essenze, vintage 2016 from the winery Vite Colte has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Medium-dense, bright brown-red with brightening on the rim. Clear fruit on the nose, ripe red cherry, jostaberry and blueberry, lovely spices, some wormwood and dark chocolate. Beautiful persistence on the palate, with well integrated, tightly woven tannins, powerful, clear, full of finesse and dense on the finish.
