The white wine Hattenheim Hassel Riesling GG, vintage 2019 from the winery Wein- und Sektgut Barth has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
On the nose there is some oak character, along with a little yeast, spicy Riesling fruit (candied lemon peel and ginger), and a slight hint of overripeness. The palate also displays a high intensity, as well as a crisp acidity, and powerful phenolics, with the sweet fruit remaining in the background. It will need a lot of time to mature.
