The white wine »Stufe 8« Esslingen Schenkenberg Grauer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery TeamWerk Esslingen has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Even before the varietal type, the nose reveals clear notes of red sandstone, warm brick, iron and red apple. But also pear, wild blueberry, chestnut puree. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and delicately nervous with a medium volume, it seems concentrated and still relatively closed, but its extract shows excellent development and certain ageing potential.
