The white wine »Winemakers Edition«, vintage 2024 from the winery Weingut am Nil has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Weißburgunder, Grauer Burgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Day 1: Yellow fruit on the nose, peach, apricot, delicate smoke, a hint of vanilla, with tangerine zest and some mint, delicate. On the palate with a lively acidity, gripping, fine melting, on the fresh side with grapefruit and green apple, balanced, good length, top at the table. Day 2: Delicate vanilla, ripe apple, pear, mint. Smooth attack, somewhat tired, tension has diminished, green apple, acidity more present. Day 3: Ripe bright fruit, citric elements, apple, pear, tangerine zest, mint is added. Smooth, creamy on the palate, acidity provides freshness, good drinkability.
