The red wine »Hommage« Walporzheim Alte Lay Spätburgunder GG trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Brogsitter has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
Balsamic notes, slate, dried orange peel, cherry, marjoram, a hint of new wood. On the palate the wine proves to be delicate and yet also dense, with a generous, supple base and rather mild acidity. A wealth of flavours unfolds, revealing complex aromatic notes, enhanced by fine spice.
