The red wine Walporzheimer Kräuterberg Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Burggarten has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Bay leaf, almond, red currant, fresh herbs and savoury notes in the glass. Sage, rosemary. On the palate, a refined texture, with fine grained, quite firm, but not astringent tannins, chewy, but still juicy and elegant, intensely mineral finish, an unobtrusive acidity, really Burgundian in style, derived from the slate soils.
