Strong ruby garnet, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim brightening. Needs air, hints of raisins and walnuts, prunes in the background, English cake, individualistic bouquet. Juicy, sweet and opulent on the palate, ripe, round tannins, some cloves, nougat on the finish, very good length, finely savoury aftertaste, a complex food companion.
