The white wine Niederhausen Hermannshöhle Riesling GG, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Dönnhoff has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 98 Falstaff points.
The nose reveals ripe citrus aromas, candied orange peel, kumquat, and slate notes. The palate has a classy astringency, in which crunchy acidity, perfectly balanced texture and deep minerality are perfectly integrated. This is a demanding, enthralling single-vineyard Riesling for the long haul.
