The white wine Seppelaia Chardonnay Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Eichenstein has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a bright pale straw yellow colour. Fragrant and perfumed on the nose, it has aromas of white rose petals, cream, tropical fruit, a hint of bourbon vanilla, white stone fruit, and supported by a strong fine oak character. It is balanced and elegantly structured on the palate, unfolding over the tongue with coolness, and with great fruit flavours. It is crystalline, with a fine polished finish, and a long aftertaste.
