The white wine The Yellow Bird Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Fritz Ekkehard Huff has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
On the nose, a varietal type with clear Red Hill (Roter Hang) savouriness, some pineapple and nectarine, but also damp blotting paper and arm sand. Crisp acidity, rich body and very good extract, it is a firm Sauvignon Blanc with a distinctive earthy character and a mineral finish. Stylish.
