The white wine Nierstein Riesling trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Gehring has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
On the nose, polished wooden barrel, yeast and a subtle spontaneous fermentation aroma. Also orange peel and bergamot. Salt crust. The palate begins compact and dense, rich in extract on the basis of fine phenolics and an extremely well-integrated acidity that accompanies the length of the wine. Long and full of ageing potential.
