The red wine M1, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Gerhard Markowitsch has been rated in 2013 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Zweigelt from the region Carnuntum in Austria.
A dark garnet colour, an opaque core, with purple hues. Dark berry confit, fine nougat, fresh cherries, nuances of oak. Full-bodied, elegant, with attractive fruit, cherry confit, very well-integrated tannins, a powerful core, fresh, lingers for a very long time, never too opulent, on the contrary, drinks very well, strong ageing potential, mineral finish.
