The red wine Eruption Rot, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Gollenz has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blauer Zweigelt from the region Styria in Austria.
Dark ruby in colour with purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, an attractive bouquet of fine wood spice, some dark fruits of the forest confit, candied orange zest, and blackberry notes. The palate is juicy with good complexity and a well-integrated tannin structure, black cherry and tobacco notes, a good food wine.
