The red wine Ruthe Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Graf Neipperg has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany.
On the engaging nose, notes of juniper berry, clove and pickled orange peel with some menthol join the clear, pure cherry and elderberryish fruit. On the palate, quite intense in its savouriness with good drive and substance, powerfully structured, the tannins are of high quality, accessible and with reserves for many years. Mineral verve leads into the long finish.
