The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Riserva DOC, vintage 2007 from the winery Weingut Griesbauerhof has been rated in 2013 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, rich ruby violet. Opens on the nose with subtle roasted notes, some roasted hazelnuts, but then also lots of dark berry fruit, inviting. Tannic and dense on the palate, unfolds with elemental force, gripping and hearty, earthy-salty notes on the finish.
