The red wine am See rot, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Haider Thomas has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, St. Laurent from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
A dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose there is nice nougat, ripe black cherry fruit, blackberry confit, and some discreet vanilla notes. It is substantial, with a fruity sweet texture, a ripe plum flavour, integrated tannins, and a chocolaty touch on the finish. It is a versatile wine.
