The red wine Tomaro, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Haider Thomas has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Syrah from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
A deep dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose a smoky herbal savouriness, dark berry confit, as well as discreet hints of dried plum and vanilla. It is juicy, with ripe cherry, some nougat, vivid tannins, a chocolaty finish, and it has certain ageing potential.
