The red wine »Zweihänder« trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Hanewald-Schwerdt has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, there are aromas of yeast, raspberries and blackberries, as well as a hint of garrigue herbs. In the mouth, the wine is fruity, berryish and powerful, accompanied by a subtle alcoholic sweetness. Young tannins and invigorating acidity provide tension and length.
