The red wine Ab Ericio, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Hans Igler has been rated in 2011 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby colour, black core, purple reflections. On the nose smoky and spicy character underlying dark berry fruit , delicate nougat, blueberry confit, gentle orange zest, fine tobacco notes. Full-bodied, sweet blackberry fruit, juicy, elegant, fine acidity, fresh and lively, lingers well, ripe cherry fruit on the finish, already accessible, and it has good ageing potential.
