The red wine »Johann Jakob Alte Reben« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Heinz Nikolai Inhaber Frank Nikolai has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Fine wood lactic notes, herbs, also some new oak, fresh cherry notes, Amarena cherry and a little blood orange. A soft and almost plump onset, developing pressure, juice, savouriness and suppleness. The tannins are ripe and of good quality, savoury and persistent.
