The white wine Westhofen Riesling trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Helmut Geil has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Relatively little primary fruit on the nose, with aromas of lemon peel, aniseed, angelica and coriander seed. As with all Geil wines, it is very supple on the palate, and offers little resistance, nutty and food-friendly. A Riesling that works well with more than just herring salad.
