The white wine Niersteiner Ölberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Hofmann has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Freshly grated orange peel, but also clearly influenced by the terroir. Broad on the palate, initially powerful and full-bodied in the mid-palate, then immediately tactile and mineral until the long finish. Still young and compact, but with ample ageing potential for years of development.
