The red wine Canis Reserve, vintage 2013 from the winery Weingut Hundsdorfer has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and some signs of maturity. Subtle notes of black forest fruits, cassis and orange zest, alongside liquorice and tobacco. A juicy and elegant texture, kept taut by fresh acidity, leads to a long lasting finish with cassis highlights and a mineral backbone. Still seems very youthful.
