Tasting from 19.03.2019: Ulrich Sautter

Extremely closed on the nose, a touch of plum and a hint of large oak barrel. Luscious palate, a lot of very fine tannins but very well-suited to the fruit-driven background and richness of the wine, smooth, almost creamy, viscous layers leading to the finish. A traditional Spätburgunder at its best.
