The red wine Badenweiler Römerberg Syrah trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Julius Zotz has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Baden in Germany.
The new wood does not mask the varietal savouriness, aromas of cherry and black pepper, garrigue, organic chocolate, plus buttery and caramel tones. The palate is dense with fine-grained, slightly dry tannin that is emphatically supple. Needs a little more time.
