The white wine Iphofen Julius-Echter-Berg Silvaner GG, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Juliusspital has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Pale straw yellow with delicate green reflections in the glass. Very mineral nose, also hints of flint, smoke and iodine, powerful. On the palate there is positive drive, smoky and long-lasting acidity, extraordinarily animating and still immensely youthful. Pairs well with food and has ageing potential.
