The white wine Weißburgunder & Grauburgunder Cuvée trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Karl Friedrich Aust has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder from the region Saxony in Germany.
Primarily fruity, with some ice candy notes as well as clover blossom and hay. In the mouth there's some drive and texture, with a ripe acidity that feels round and unaffected and brings a completely natural freshness. This has the juiciness and elegance of Pinot Blanc, but with the drive of Pinot Gris in the background. A great accompaniment to food.
