Here we have ripe fruit meets a smoky ambience, with aromas of pear and quince on a spicy background. On the palate a sensitive use of oak is evident, and the structure is powerful, with good density, fine spiciness, and flanking sweetness. It is a nicely balanced wine and very cleanly vinified.
