The red wine »Kalkstein« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Manz has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Almond, bay leaf and malty notes, also small ripe berries, a very fine complex maturity. On the palate the wine flows silky and fine. All components are at medium concentration but in impeccable balance. The finish reveals savouriness and fine tactile and mineral notes.
