The sweet and dessert wine Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Manz has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Golden yellow. Strong botrytis, quince jelly and peppery notes, fresh apricot, stewed Mirabelle plum, very viscous, very sweet and kept in balance by penetrating acidity, intensely perfumed finish aromas, highly concentrated, finally even mineral components. Currently still somewhat characterised by sulphur. But the certain ageing potential is gigantic.
