The red wine Syrah, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Mödinger has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Very fresh cherry fruit with clear herbal notes flows from the glass, accompanied by fruit aromas of raspberry and wild blueberry. In the mouth, the wine has some power, a lively acidity and fine-grained tannin structure, before distinctly varietal spicy aromas lead into the finish. Firmly built, very good ageing potential. Finally, it even has a tactile mineral underpinning.
