The white wine »Dark Matter« Grauer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Münzenberger has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Far removed from dark matter in terms of colour, this Pinot Gris nevertheless has something subtle to offer on the nose: black radish, almonds, a little ginger. On the palate the savouriness is more of a hint than a frontal presence, a gliding matter, muted fruit. A wine with certain ageing potential.
