Raspberry and new wood on the nose, with some nougat and resin notes. The palate reveals a fine-grained, carefully extracted tannin structure, allied to a slight oiliness which underpins the wine. Juicy fruit provides the flow into the long, salty finish. It's elegant, with good ageing potential.
