Deep ruby garnet with a dark core and subtle ochre rim. Nuances of vanilla and cloves on the nose with a smoky, mineral background. There's also black berries, dark cherries and a fine touch of slate. Complex and juicy on the palate, with fresh cherries and berries overlaying a salty texture and a hint of nougat on the finish. This is a wine that screams for venison fillet! Certain ageing potential.
