The red wine Simonroth Lemberger trocken, vintage 2001 from the winery Weingut Schnaitmann has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Originates one hundred percent from the Lämmler, but Rainer Schnaitmann avoided the name Lämmler on the label at the time because it was the epitome of sweet Trollinger. Wild cherry fruit, cherry pit, subtle oak. Creamy attack, medium-grained tannin, fine and finely nerved, lots of grip, still compact, an almost youthful finish with great density and radiance.
