The white wine »Alte Reben« Riesling Spätlese trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Römerhof has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
A fine, yellow-fruity late-harvest nose, pineapple, apricot, yellow-fleshed peach, and a hint of overripeness. The palate unfolds a beautiful interplay of crisp acidity and sweet fruit. The depth of the old vines is noticeable in the aromatic expression and also in the intense tactile minerality.
More about the tastingA fine haze of slate savouriness over red apple, vineyard peach, sunflower seeds, pomegranate and lemon peel. Compact structure, in which texture, fruitiness, mineral drive and the ripe, delicate acidity form an excellent overall structure.
