It has a lushness on the nose, and bundles together the aromas that characterise it from an atypical place as a benchmark for the vine far from home. Its rich blackberry fruit and spiciness are also reflected on the palate, the red slate gives it its minerality, as well as a cool character. It's a very open wine.
