The white wine »Downburst« Weißburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Sturm Ilbesheim has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 88 - 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose it is characterized by typical varietal aromas (pear, peach, lemon peel), and some gravel. Flavours of ripe grapefruit, very sweet apricot and raw almond follow on the palate. This is all balanced by good acidity, and it has an attractive finish.
