The red wine Blauer Zweigelt Hommage, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Thomas Leithner has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Kamptal in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and some signs of maturity on the rim. The nose is smoky, with balsamic and tobacco nuances alongside a hint of dried plums and a chocolaty touch. A full-bodied palate, stuffed with ripe plums, fine tannin structure and a fresh acidity. The finish develops and orange and nougat character. Already well developed.
