Tasting Notes
Aromas of subtle caramel, some smoke, apple peel, some quince and subtly roasted hazelnut, characterised by the wooden barrel. Lively acidity on the palate, grippy phenolics, full, grippy, hazelnut, vanilla and apple again, firm core, needs time or a hearty meal.
More about the tastingMedium golden yellow. On the nose there is white peach, lemon zest, vanilla, ripe yellow fruit, plus young almond and some rock dust. Wonderfully juicy on the palate with fine acidity, light phenolics and well-integrated oak. A wine with certain ageing potential.
