The red wine »Primus S« trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Weihbrecht has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Lemberger from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Merlot and Lemberger are in this red blend. Influenced by the wood, the aroma is characterised by smoked bacon, sour cherry, dark chocolate and pumpernickel. Delicate with a medium-bodied structure on the palate and tannins that have mellowed with ageing in the bottle.
More about the tastingThis top red cuvée consists of Merlot and Lemberger. The bouquet is still characterised by ageing in barriques, with some mint accompanying the aromas of red fruit. Good balance on the palate with substance and density, well-groomed tannins, light extract sweetness and savouriness, balanced.
