The red wine Blaufränkisch Barrique, vintage 1997 from the winery Wellanschitz has been rated in 2007 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet, deep core, youthful reflections. Dark berry confit on the nose, delicately herbal and spicy, delicate balsamic notes, hints of orange and grapefruit. Juicy and freshly structured on the palate, strong tannins, some cassis, complex texture, shows good length, still has a long way to go, sweet blackberry note in the finish, very impressive length.
