The red wine Danubius Grand Select, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Wieninger has been rated in 2011 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Vienna in Austria.
Deep carmine-garnet, with a delicate hint of ochre and a watery rim. Delicate, herbaceous notes, ethereal, Havana tobacco, hints of blackberries and cassis, a complex bouquet. Full-bodied, pronounced tannins, red berry nuances; the new oak is still distinctly noticeable; requires further bottle aging; citrus and chocolate in the finish.
