The white wine Sommerach Katzenkopf Traminer Spätlese trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Zehnthof – Familie Weickert has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Franconia in Germany.
On the nose there is as much limestone as there is Traminer (rose, smoke and blood orange). Very clear aromas. Smooth base, a very delicate layer of ultra-fine phenolics, firm acid backbone, mineral notes. A completely unembellished terroir-driven Traminer!
