The red wine »Angel Hill« Merlot trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Zimmermann has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Baden in Germany.
A strong use of wood reveals itself, vanillin and caramel candy. There is also very intense, somewhat forced cherry fruit. The palate has power, displaying a grainy, somewhat dry tannin on a supple base. A full-throttle Merlot, almost an Amarone!
