Tasting Notes
Deep yellow gold in colour. Still restrained and not as expressive a bouquet as the No. 8, with fine spice notes of cinnamon and clove from the new wood, underpinned by ripe apple fruit and subtle red berry nuances. The full-bodied palate has an oily texture, well balanced by perfectly integrated acidity, with red berry confit, nougat, honey, and opulent yellow fruit notes, well supported by the oak on an incredibly long finish. A wine for decades, but because of its radiant clarity is already easy to drink today.
