The red wine Merlot im Eichenfass gereift trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Winzerverein Deidesheim has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
A restrained ethereal hint of herbal spice wafts from the glass as well as thyme, juniper and ripe black cherry. A varietal style without overripe, cooked flavours. The palate also exhibits a classic style, with firm, plush tannins and luscious fruit notes.
