The red wine Blaufränkisch, vintage 2013 from the winery Zalwander has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lemberger from the region Baden in Germany.
Sweet almond, heart cherry, also nougat. The palate shows a fine-grained, well-proportioned tannin, dense, full-bodied, still very present, with fine, well-structured acidity, balancing extract sweetness and a fascinating, chalky mineral finish. Delicately matured.
