The Ceretto family has been passionately dedicated to winegrowing in the Langhe since 1937. The winery, now run by the third generation, has grown to become a major player in Piedmont over the following decades. Today, 170 hectares are under vine, most of the parcels have been carefully selected in the best locations. Ceretto is also one of the first wineries in the region to develop the concept of crus. The wines are vinified in four specific wine cellars. Ceretto is also the starting point for the renaissance of a forgotten white wine variety - Arneis.

Riccardo Ceretto began producing wines in the Langhe in the 1930s. His sons Bruno and Marcello later acquired the most prestigious vineyards in the Barolo and Barbaresco areas. Today, the winery is run by the third generation of cousins; Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico, who have taken a different approach to the 160 hectares of vineyards. The new approach involves not using herbicides and chemicals, as a result of which the wines were awarded organic certification with the 2015 vintage.
