You can rely on Markus Hillabrand: his wines are testament to skilful viticulture and solid winemaking. These wines are not showy, and Hillabrand does not feel compelled to smooth out every last wrinkle. This predestines the wines for the table – and for the advanced wine drinker. Our favourite amongst the wines he presented this year is his Scheurebe from the Bullenheimer Paradies site – a wine that is more about site than about variety and that comes with real depth. For eight weeks each in spring and summer Hillebrand also pops up with his Heckenwirtschaft at the estate.
